I can't get the internet on my laptop? what should i do?

it says that i have limited or no connectivity when i chek the status of the network. it says that ''the problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.'' i click repair but it says that it repair because it can't renew the ip address. can someone help me out please?

I hope your giving a good and correct IP addresses for you laptop or from where you getting the internet...

If your keeping the same ip address..thats a problem..

and If its WIndows XP its the easiest way...

you probably have a firewal running. You need to configure the firewall to allow the IP address range assigned by your router.
