I had just upgrade my PC from Windows ME to Windows XP Profesional. Unfortunately, when I try to connect to the internet, I failed. I think maybe there is something problem with my modem. It say that ''Error 777: Connection attempt failed because the modem is out of order''. There is no dial tone eventhough every cable is connected. What should I do? I prefer not to go repair at computer shop.

try updating the drivers for the modem if your talking about dial up
or if you have the disk for it reinstall its drivers for xp if there on it
