A guy from our internet provider came over recently to repair our cable connection and mentioned that we had a lot of extranus files on our computer that were left after you watch a youtube video. What are these files, and how do i get to them so i can delete them?

These are temporary files that are used to buffer the video stream coming from the youtube web site.
You can use the windows ''Disk Cleanup'' utility to get most of these. It's on your C: drive Properties ''General'' tab.
I like to use ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com). It's a free cleanup program that also can find and fix problems in your registry. ccleaner does a good job removing temporary and unneeded files all over your hard drive.

I agree. ccleaner is great. you can get it from filehippo.com. It also has a registry cleaner and will help keep your pc running fast. cleanup by Stephen Gould is good as well. IE7 has a good utility to delete temp files built in. Be warned ccleaner can delete saved passwords and typed web addresses.
