I have a DVD-RAM UJ-820S Rewritable device. What type of DVD's should I use to copy movies, pho

I haven't had a computer of my own in forever. A good friend gave me his computer that needed a small repair, which is all taken care of now). Now, I am having to refamiliarize myself with all the different types of storage that is available to me. I do know when to use a CD or a DVD, but I really don't know which type to use in regards to DVD's. It has gotten really confusing the last couple of years. What is the difference in all the types of DVD's? Can anyone give me a little info?

you can just use a regular type of dvd or you can use the dual layer dvd's. its really your preference of how much data you are going to be storing on the dvd's. a regular dvd holds 4.7 gb, and a dual layer dvd holds 8.5gb. its really upto what you are using them for. good luck and have fun.
