Windows xp microsoft outlook opens but freezes up and cannot get it to work?

When I open microsoft outlook 2003, it will open. After that I cannot get any functions out of it. Says program not responding. I have tried repairing though home edition cd and unstalled and reinstalled outlook to no avail. I cannot repair from outlook email site because it does not function. It quit working slow and slower for two days and then it just quit. I have several anti spyware and antivirus securities installed, so I do not think that is the problem. My computer functions perfectly except for outlook.

I could sure use some help.

It was an IE update that messed it up. Go to Tools and mail format and check us word and your editor (both boxes) and it will work or set outlook to open to outlook today and that will fix it

I guess the question is do you really need OUTLOOK at this second.

I highly sugguest using Mozilla Thunderbird the security features are better then Outlook and is extremely easy to use.....
