After Repairing my Windows XP after havign a corrupted WINDOWS?SYSTEM32?CONFIG/SYSTEM windows starts

Well ok here i go after repairing my WIndows XP home edition after gettign a strange error message saying my computer was missing or had a corrupt systems folder htingy...it said put it disc and repair XP



WEll i did that went through the whole liek repair process...



Go to start bac up my computer and before the repair and before the missing system folder my computer took maybe half a minute to a minute now it takes liek almost five minutes...



Is there a reason for this i have checked what starts up with my computer((programs)) adn turned off all unneeded ones...



and it still starts up extremely slow shuts down ultra fast btu starts up slow any precedent for this any way that you knwo fo to fix this..



I am of like not beginner but not intermediate computer skill...So please keep instructions to a understandable level...

Try to reset your entire operating using the System Restore command.



1.) Go to Start and select Programs.



2.) Next select Accessories and then System Tools.



3.) Select System Restore and then click on the option that says, "Restore my computer to an earlier time."



4.) Then select a date that your computer automatically backed up the system that is a date previous to when you begin to experience problems.
